Giro d'Italia Cocktail

A virtual stop-over at Sheraton Parco dè Medici Rome Hotel
  • ½ fresh strawberry
  • ¼ lime
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 5cl Martini Rosato Vermouth
  • 10cl Franciacorta Rosé
  • Fresh mint and slice of lime

Octopus and eggplants

Typical Roman recipe
  • 1 eggplant
  • 1 fresh egg
  • 4 fresh radishes
  • Strands of dried chilly
  • Octopus 600 gr
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt, garlic, white pepper, fresh parsley, flour and breadcrumbs


  • Clean the octopus and cook in salted water, drain and allow to cool
  • Remove the skin from the eggplant, cut into cubes (not too small) and then sprinkle with flour, egg and finally roll it in breadcrumbs
  • Fry in extra virgin olive oil
  • Cut the radishes into thin slices and leave them in water and ice
  • Cut the octopus (same size of the cubes of the eggplant) and season with extra virgin olive oil, parsley, garlic, salt and white pepper
  • Leave the octopus to flavour for at least for 2 hours
  • Place a few tablespoons of the well seasoned octopus on the plate and then top it off with crispy eggplant cubes, radishes and the dried strands of chilly
